Topic: Opening ports with linksys router

i am trying my best to open ports on my linksys router but it confuses me. i am going to put a ddrace server up on the internet but everyone tells me that i have to open a port! right? when i run my ddrace server it only goes on the LAN...
i would like some help with this port forwarding pls!!!!

You cannot see your own server in the Internet tab, although other players may do. Check your console to see if it correctly got registered to the masterservers.

If your friends cannot see your server, go to www.portforward.com and click on your router model. Skip the advertisement and then go to the "General Tutorial". Follow that and setup port forwards for port 8303/UDP.

ok i will do this but i will reply if it doesnt work

That looks alright. Do you get any registration errors in your server console (the black box)?

failed to open(my map)
error configure your firewall etc

then turn off your firewall
If then you server is registered, you can let the teeworlds_srv pass throught firewall

i use the ddrace client which the server is called DDrace...i dont use teeworlds_srv that is for normal gametypes so people say!

my whole firewall is turned off but still says ERROR i will have to have someone do the port forwarding for me on team viewer...
