Topic: [Tools]Ikaron's little Tools

Did you ever play a DDRace map and thought ,,I must have this map!"? Then you went to your \downloadedmaps folder, searched for the map, renamed it so that addvote commands aren't that big, that the mapname looks nice?
Now I wrote a little program that is able to do all that automaticly! Just write in your TW path, hook the "addvote"-Checkbox, and then click on the Start-Button. Then the last nine characters of the mapname (for example _ab13d7f9) will be deleted, and all maps will be moved to your \maps folder. Additionally, in your autoexec.cfg, there will be added a "addvote sv_map x" for EVERY map you have in your folder, so you just have to start your server and you have all maps in the vote-list. Well that's all pretty nice, but it has a little bug: Maps, that exist some more times, will be overwritten. So the one which is in the list the most down of them will be in your map folder. I'm working on it, but it doesn't really do what i want smile  BTW: There is the possibility of writing commands in the Path-Inputfield. The only command that is implemented atm is "/info".

A little tut on the Hasher:
Hash:
1. Create a textdocument called 'pass.txt'
2. Write in the password
3. Click on the 'Hash' - Button
4. Open 'NewPW.txt' - there is the hashed PW
Unhash:
1. Create a textdocument called 'pass.txt'
2. Write in the hashed PW
3. Click on the 'De-Hash' - Button
4. Open 'NewPW.txt' - there is the unhashed PW

Zum Verschlüsseln:
1. Downloaden.
2. Eine Datei namens 'pass.txt' erstellen, dort das gewünschte Passwort eingeben.
3. Programm starten, auf 'Verschlüsseln' klicken. Keinen Pfad angeben!
4. 'NewPW.txt' öffnen und sich über sein verschlüsseltes PW freuen.
Zum Entschlüsseln:
1. Downloaden.
2. Eine Datei namens 'pass.txt' erstellen, dort das verschlüsselte PW eingeben.

Well, in my opinion this is not that useful, others might like it.

One more question: Is this a cross platform program or just another windows-only-crap-tool (sorry for being rude... it's just annoying how ignorant people can be...).

ATM, i have no possibility to compile it on linux... sorry.. But it will work for x32 and x64
But you can get the src and compile it for linux if you want^^

So in which way is the "hash" generator teeworlds related? And also: What is the sense of it, if the hash is revertable? What is one intended to do with such a "hash"?

You can only revert it, when you have the right key. The chance that 2 guys have the same key is Kinda little
( 1:50^37 ) So, yeah, If you have a PW you often forget, just use that tool to hash it, and you can unhash it every time you forgot it another time. Or, you can use it like that: Write in a standard PW for your server. Then hash it, and put the hash in autoexec.cfg (Or whatever), and now, just keep the key. Noone is able to find out the PW with trying the standard pass's like "helper" or whatever, even if you use a standard pass - just hashed. But that's only some things to use it. Or you write messages in a big chat that just your mate should know - give him your Key^^
