Topic: [HELP] Timeout

So, as I was testing a very large map, it took too long to load. Is there a way around it? Can someone make a server which will not automatically say timeout while loading a map? I think timeout is caused by taking too long to load it. Is there a way to bypass this?

If anyone wants to have the map to try it out themselves, I am willing to upload it.

I guess it's a problem with your connection, not with the map wink

Dune: It's a LAN server...

Yes, it took over 10 seconds to load. I'm wondering if someone can make a client that ignores this 10 second rule.

EDIT: It's 1700 tiles by 700 tiles... I know it should take a while to load.

Yes, I already did it for some german guy with low connection. But there is already a thread about that on the forum. Looking for it.
Edit: Found it!

Thanks Dune! I hope this is what I'm looking for... Can anyone compile it for me? I'm currently just starting to get into C++.

EDIT: is this the same as the timeout error?
