radar would be less needed if there was hot keys for talking/emotes

Time to revive this thread.

I've got two ideas, both could be used independently or in combination.

1. Having arrows at the egde of the screen indicating the other players' positions. In CTF and TDM modes the arrows are blue and red (the flag's arrow could be shown with a black border, a circle inside or something similar), in DM the colors are equal to the Tee's body color. The transparency of the arrow depends on the distance between the local player and the target. Targets far away would be shown with an arrow of little opacity. Nearby targets have an arrow of higher opacity.

2. When in spectator mode you can move the camera freely with the mouse. There should be the same function when playing. If you hold down a button you can move the camera through the map and locate flags/enemies. When releasing the button the view is centered back on the local player. This could be especially useful when spawning to get a quick overview.

I like the arrows on the edges idea, but it should only be for teammates. Arrows when for everyone when spectating could be nice too though, but when playing the limited overview has tactical importance and thus shouldn´t be spoiled.

RomD: I like the idea of arrows pointing at the flag carriers, but not in a dm map (except for spectators). And i don't really see what your arrows in the picture is pointing at, they sould be in the edges pointing at a tee, not somewhere else.

VERRY good idear... BUT dont have the names, just the Arrows,and have the arrows changes colour depending on health and such... i like this better, and it wouldnt take up all the Screen space!

A went for a bit more teeworldy and cuddly approach. I only tend to care about the flag carrier.

One could even say I love the flag carrier, hence my first proposal is the hearts pointing in the direction of the flag carrier.

I could also (we are of course imagining me as a tee now) feel all tingly inside and blush slightly in the direction of the flag carrier.

Definitely unconventional yet useful.

That would kind of be cheating..
Especially in streetwars and other maps where you should guess where the enemy is coming from.
