I think that a general radar map would be good, like as follows

I was thinking of something like Warhammer's, except only having the arrows.
I think health indication is a bit unnecessary. Perhaps just a colour change for if that team member is the flag carrier.
However, saying that it isn't usually hard to find your team mates. A radar that shows where the enemies are would ruin the game IMHO, as part of it is trying to find and catch them.
nice, but it takes too much of space.........if the screen was larger......;-)

That, combined with playing on well-designed maps, should be more than enough in my opinion.
Teewars is such a quick game you can be on the other side of the map in a matter of seconds, even on large ones like ctf2. You can also easily see through walls, which makes hiding and positioning yourself [scouting] when you have the flag a skill in itself. Same with being able to predict what route a flag carrier will take and either cut them off if it's an enemy or come help them if it's an ally. Good players do it, so can everyone else with a bit of practice.
Like I've said in other threads, "every other online shooter game has it" just isn't a good enough reason to slap something into Teewars. Even if the entire community wants something, it may not work well for this game.

It's already way too easy to find your enemy, even when he does a little "peep". The only difficult thing in this game is taking him down, even when you got more opponents to deal with.
Still, for team battles, when you are in danger (and I mean DANGER!), it's kinda irritating when you try to K.O. an opposing player, but kill your teammate instead, taking -1 in your score, because you didn't know where your mate's been meanwhile. But... I think that's alright. It's fairplay.
Matricks, maybe something like the tab button (but that's in use, so maybe another one) to bring up a kind of shrunken map view.

So it's not a radar but just a Team overlay (like in Quake).
For me radar is like in CS (and CS sux)...

The problem with the team overlay stuff in Q3 is that if we do it, the localization will become a hell. We could have some predefined strings that you can use in the map perhaps. I have to ponder on this for a while

i just checked different resolutions and noticed: no difference (view radius isnt changing at all) between high and low resolution (exept huge pixels ofc) and i think that is fair for ppl who use low res settings.
am i only person who wants the screen of teewars to be larger?

in this game sometimes i shoot the rocket when a person is not even on a screen and it hits him

Because wherever your enemies are, your teammates shouldn't be far away. And the other way around.
Your problem, it seems to me, is that you have a hard time finding people about as skilled as you are to play with. The #teewars IRC channel could provide those.
