Topic: Strange TW Lag (FPS Lag)

Hello, I have been playing TW for about a year now, and it's been great, really love the game.. but about a week ago I opened the game and the loader bar took about 12 seconds to load (It usually takes 2 seconds) and my mouse moved really slow like 6FPS.. and when I went in a server i get 400-1000 ping...

I have downloaded TW again, and deleted the ROAMING Files so a complete fresh start, but it's still the same..(I have also tried z-pack)

I would really appreciate it if you could help me out.. I love TW so much xD :$

Did you install any new software? I mean something that runs in background and may consume proccessor usage. Try to minimalize running TeeWorlds and check CPU usage, in task manager (Ctrl+Alt+Delete). Also close Skype, ICQ, Firefox, Torrent client, download client etc.

I always get this lag when my laptop is connected to a battery and not to an electrical outlet.

Feed yourself with some video card drivers, and turn off composing if you are using KDE.

I closed all programs and opened TW, then looked at the CPU Usage (There was 100 Processes) and it went from 7% to about 58% ..

My Graphic card / video driver is up to date. still the same.

Hey, 100 processes is really big number. Check applications starting on startup / logon. On my 7 years old computer, with minimal TW configuration, it went perfectly and had usage 100%.
The more CPU usage TeeWorlds.exe gets, more comfort yo will get in-game wink

I had the same problem when my video driver was not installed. Try to reinstall it.

How? I have a ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650.
