Topic: [TOOL] Teeworlds Skin Creator

Hello

I create now a Teeworlds Skin Creator in english and german

now i'm happy if other people can help me the programming language is vb 2010 please pn me if somebody wants to help me
sry for wrong section how to change

€dit my main language is german (deswegen(i dont know in english))is it in english and german
€dit2 i have reinstall windows (deswegen(i dont know in english) it (dauert(i dont know in english)longer
€dit3 it only to download from my own homepage when it finished

1. Wrong section, this should be in Content other.

2. Personally I would reccomend you too use usual c/c++ and not any microsoft crap, but that's just my opinion(You could use Qt or gtk for the graphical things then).

3.You should tell us a little more about what exactly your problem is supposed to do: You say it is a "skincreator", but what exactly is that? Is that a normal graphics program, designed for creating skins, or is it a program that will put together different feet and bodies etc. and thus creating new combinations of skins? These are just some of the questions The people who might want to help you are asking them selves. If you don't tell us, what exatcly you want, I doubt you will get that much help.

Anyways, good luck with your project!

Agree with ghost91, you should use Qt instead of Microsoft's "development" tools.

also in the programm you can make tee skins(later game too)the high and length of the draw field is created for tw skins and on the right there is a example with what area for what thing(head foot eyes...) and i can only vb

dont say that vb is crap. I know the image of vb is not the best, but you can make a lot of useful stuff with it. dont forget my teeworlds server creator is also made with vb.

@Bobynator: I'm sorry, but in my opinion visual whatever is crap. I believe you can do usefull things with it(in fact i started programming with vb), but by using it, you pass on portability, which is very important to me. But as stated before, this is just my opinion, others might find vb very usefull(which it probably is, if you are only programming for windows).

It seems you have just created a GUI using the M$ tools, and you're stuck now while trying to write the implementation.

Btw, annoucing a tool without any description or download links is useless...

Whats the sense of such a skin creator? You should learn to draw them yourself...otherwise we will have like 50 new threads soon where some noobs present their skins made with the TWSC i think. Sry if im wrong i just dont get the sense of this -.- and its even not fair for guys which are making skins on their own

Good idea, but I don't like this idea. I think one should to make a skin self.
Thereby learn one more over Inkscape and one learn too drawing. big_smile
One thing is great, I like it good that you make this program in two languages. wink

I think it is an good idea but it is hard to figure out anything about your project due to your lag of information and working screenshots (they doesnt work for me)

However as i said i think it is an good idea and i aint afraid that it will have a bad influence on the game or community why should it?
If you wanna make a skin for your game and doesnt know how to use a vector program it will be so damn usefull!
