Re: [SOLVED] Make a server: help

Toitoinne: If you want to test your map on an own server, you can do it. Right now, you can start a server and play on it, but nobody else can see or play it via internet.

I assume your map is named "test.map". Here is how to test your new map.
1. Go to your Teeworlds-folder and press the bat-file "config_directory.bat".
2. A new folder will open. In that folder, open "maps". You will see your "test.map" there.
3. Copy the "test.map" and close the maps-folder. Now, go back to your Teeworlds-folder.
4. Click "data" and then "maps". In that folder, paste your map.
5. Go back two steps, and open your "autoexec.cfg".
6. Change "sv_map" to "sv_map test", WITHOUT the ".map" after.
7. Start the server.

Yes, you will see the firewall-warnings, but you can still open the game and play in it from the LAN-tab.

Just to add, you can let your maps where it is, you don't have to copy it.
Just make sv_map test. big_smile

Wonderful!

Yes, it's possible, but I wanted to show him where the maps are located, if he would like to share them later.
