Re: [SOLVED] Make a server: help

Strange ... Still no.

It is in the file or folder Teeworlds teeworlds-0.5.2-win32?
And there must be only those files and folders then?

If it is in the folder teeworlds-0.5.2-win32 is confirmed: the problem is probably my computer.

52

Re: [SOLVED] Make a server: help

The folder is whichever (?) you want.
And there can be other files with it.
Post a screen, or write the error.

Re: [SOLVED] Make a server: help

I do it like this:
1) I make a 'autoexec.cfg' (in your teeworlds folder). Put the config in. (Simple Config below)
2) Download the server executable (for example: teeworlds_srv.exe) and doublelclick it
3) Then everything works for me (you do not need a .bat file)
4) You can make shortcut at you desktop or whereever, for faster server starting
____________________________________________________________________________________________

comands which should be in the autoexec.cfg for a simple deathmatch:

sv_name XXX
sv_map dm1
sv_maprotation dm1, dm2, dm...
sv_gametype dm
sv_max_clients 16
sv_timelimit 0
sv_scorelimit 50

//edit: Seem you know already how to start the server, but it is still a problem with your router/firewall.

Re: [SOLVED] Make a server: help

Check your firewall settings ^^ You must enable UDP connections. Try to add teeworlds to firewall exceptions.

58

Re: [SOLVED] Make a server: help

At the firewall, nothing to report. But how to configure the router exactly?

59

Re: [SOLVED] Make a server: help

There is no error, you just didn't forwarded the port 8303.
So google "port forwarding" + your ISP and look how you must do.

Re: [SOLVED] Make a server: help

got something for you all .. dont found it here.. and maybe it helps:

Solution(s) for Firewall problems (only for Windows Firewall):

1.    Close all running Teeworlds things (servers, clients,…)
2.    Open start menu
3.    Click on “Run … ” (See screenshot in Configuration problems part)
4.    Write: “cmd” in there and click ok. !! Administrator rights needed!!
5.    Wait till console window opens like this:
http://www.game-server-germany.eu/teeworlds/faq/images/teefaq4.jpg
6.    “System32” is just the username/working directory -> doesn’t matter.
7.    Write: “netsh firewall add portopening UDP 8303 "Teeworlds Client"”
in there and press return.
8.    Ignore the long warning message and wait for OK.
http://www.game-server-germany.eu/teeworlds/faq/images/teefaq5.jpg
9.    That’s it try to play Teeworlds or host a server.
10.    If you still got problems maybe you got another firewall (Antivirus, Router, … )

Re: [SOLVED] Make a server: help

Thank you very much, but unfortunately it is the same.

Re: [SOLVED] Make a server: help

@GSGDani : Accesible by Config Panel -> Firewall, then on the left Allow a program, then Add a port.
@Toitoinne : Have you search for your ISP ?

Then check your router settings...

Re: [SOLVED] Make a server: help

I can not, I do not have the password for access. I must await the return of my father for it.

In the meantime, I use the map editor, and I want to ask this: I opened the window to change the colors of the Quad, but I can not change them. How? Thank you.

Re: [SOLVED] Make a server: help

I did not have access without a password. I intend to use the tutorial Lanta. I have to wait until my father returns for this password and configure my router.

To the editor, I found.
What I like is to test the map, but without the possibility of server ...
(if there is someone nice who can make me a server only to test my map, it would be nice ^ ^)

Re: [SOLVED] Make a server: help

You already got a server, it's just in LAN

Re: [SOLVED] Make a server: help

How it I already had a server?

I do not see what you mean.

70

Re: [SOLVED] Make a server: help

When you click your batch, the server starts isn't it ?
So you got a server.
The only thing is nobody will came, because you don't forwarded the port, but you still play in this server (LAN tab).

Re: [SOLVED] Make a server: help

How then forward that port?

Re: [SOLVED] Make a server: help

sv_gametype xxx

Standard server supports dm, tdm, and ctf (also mod, but almost useless without knowing more).

Re: [SOLVED] Make a server: help

@ Toitoinne: Nothing against you, but you don't have to aks for everything here(I'm talking about the gametype question now wink). There are good FAQs and and a documentation available, so please, if you have a new problem, look in there first, and try to solve the problem that way. If you can't find a solution, please use the search function: Often a lot of other people have had the same problems before, and there are threads that offer solutions for those problems. Finally, if you still can't find any solution, of course we are very pleased to help you, but if you do what I mentioned above, the people that try to help others here do not have to answer the same questions over and over again, please keep that in mind smile
For example, the solution to the problem of changing the gametype can easily be found in the official documentation smile
