Problems:
Players rarely fight players + tech 3 rounds last waaay too long:
Solution: New building (Dont read any further if you dislike it already):
EMP. Thats right ^^. Electro - magnetic - plumber.
Tech 3:
Every 2 minutes this building spawns some kind of ninja sword. Can only be picked up by the red/blue guys with the 2 highest scores (4 people in total) <- to avoid noobs wasting it. Like the Generator there can be just 1 per team.
Picking up the EMP gives u a new skin (for normal client ninja look) and takes your weapons. Turrets dont fire at you. Double klick to launch yourself.
Every Tower and shield in your explosion radius (a little bit bigger than shield radius) is cut of from power supplies for 20 seconds.
The two teams nr 1 priority should be to protect/take down the EMP. Both teams get a Broadcast like: Friendly/Enemy EMP online : Protect/Destroy!
This adds some more strategy to it - players need to care more for their teammates/enemys and rounds might be ended with a blast

And about that tech point thing at huge maps. To avoid people from creating 1 huge base you should do this.
Divide the lenght of the map into 3 parts: Theres a friendly, a neutral and an enemy zone. Friendly is always where your generator is (except if you put it into the enemy zone: then u have no friendly zone).
Each zone has a certain amount of BP for your team. E.g. friendly 160 bp, neutral 100, enemy 60.
BPs count for where the Generator/repeater stands. If the Repeater is in the neutral zone and you build in its range BUT in the enemy zone you will loose points from the neutral zone.
Sounds complicated. It isnt.
