Problems:
Players rarely fight players + tech 3 rounds last waaay too long:
Solution: New building (Dont read any further if you dislike it already):
EMP. Thats right ^^. Electro - magnetic - plumber.
Tech 3:

Every 2 minutes this building spawns some kind of ninja sword. Can only be picked up by the red/blue guys with the 2 highest scores (4 people in total) <- to avoid noobs wasting it. Like the Generator there can be just 1 per team.
Picking up the EMP gives u a new skin (for normal client ninja look) and takes your weapons. Turrets dont fire at you. Double klick to launch yourself.
Every Tower and shield  in your explosion radius (a little bit bigger than shield radius) is cut of from power supplies for 20 seconds.
The two teams nr 1 priority should be to protect/take down the EMP. Both teams get a Broadcast like: Friendly/Enemy EMP online : Protect/Destroy!
This adds some more strategy to it - players need to care more for their teammates/enemys and rounds might be ended with a blast big_smile

And about that tech point thing at huge maps. To avoid people from creating 1 huge base you should do this.
Divide the lenght of the map into 3 parts: Theres a friendly, a neutral and an enemy zone. Friendly is always where your generator is (except if you put it into the enemy zone: then u have no friendly zone).
Each zone has a certain amount of BP for your team. E.g. friendly 160 bp, neutral 100, enemy 60.
BPs count for where the Generator/repeater stands. If the Repeater is in the neutral zone and you build in its range BUT in the enemy zone you will loose points from the neutral zone.

Sounds complicated. It isnt.

I think thats how it should be. But 1 suggestion. If you are dead and there are no powered respawns (so its sure that you will stay dead for a while) it would be cool if you had a free view like a spectator.
Because:
- Its really boring to see nothing while some 1 is hunting your team
- U could give some help to your teammates. That might seem unfair but people feel better if they can do at least something. And having some "ghost" support wont help that much building new spawns/generator.

Can you please explain the TW engine?
My skills are C#, PHP, RPG, Javascript, HTML and CSS. Python a very very litttle bit xD But i think Python is a mixture of RPG and C#, isn´t it?

Propose a download link when a normal client connects, by a SAY and a BROADCAST messages.

Or just put incompatible version ? (nethash.c) smile
Anyway, you can refuse a client with a connection failure broadcast as the "banned for 5 minutes" or "timeout". Would be better than to get a noob that don't understand what to do with flags and that shoot everywhere wink

They wont know where to download the client by this way...
I think that players want at less to see what the mod looks like before downloading it...

If they see "Incompatible version 'blabla-whatisit-blabla'", they won't know that they a custom client exists...


I really think MOTD-SAY-BROADCAST is the best way smile

No. The very best would be that the players who tries to connect with a non-compatible client will get autokicked with a reason like "Hello! To play nodes, you will need a custom client. Download it for free here: www.****.**/****".

If possible there should be team votes.
Because too often the opposite team is not interrested in kicking self destroyers.
And the own team probably wont use funvotes to kick themselves.

Team votes would be cool if reasons like: Self destroyer, bp wasting noob, etc.

Yeah i knew that u meant this. But i think its a bad idea because with this there will be even more buildings in smaller space.

Other thing:
About spawns. It would be cool if you counted all spawns that are powered by one generator as 1 spawn.
And every spawn you have there decreses the respawn time.
Example how it is now: we have 3 spawns. 2 ppl die. the first needs 3 seconds to respawn the other one 5~6 seconds.
Example how it should be: there are 2+ spawns. 2 people die. Both need 3 seconds to respawn because any other spawn is ready to spawn.

Hey, I can't play with the client mod.
It freezes when loading, because of the images "buildings_red.png" and "buildings_blue.png".
Both other images are working.

I'm useing the Windows Binary. Everythin is extracted at the write place.
Please help me.
