Hi,

Teeworlds Forum lets us to contact each other via Email Form.
I searched at PunBB's extension db and found a PM function...

Is it possible to add a Private Message system here?
It's way more easy to send and receive answers via PM. smile

It is possible to add a PM system here. I have been on IRC about this, and the responses I got were vague. I believe there may be a time soon where a PM system will be installed. There is a PunBB extension, called "PunPM", that comes as a part of PunBB repository, but I am not sure if this forum has that installed.

If it does, it would be a simple matter of a few clicks to install the PM system. However I believe that the reason this system has not yet been installed is because it would mean a lot more moderation. Some say that moderating PM's is not required, but it may lead to a lot of extra not-teeworlds-related information, which will only waste bandwith on the site.

I know what I said doesn't sound very decisive, but I have tried to answer your question. I hope it helps.

I thought in everything you told here before I started this topic... smile

However, the mods are able to set an interval of time in which the messages are going to be deleted... It may prevents unnecessary storage...

About moderating messages, there could be report buttons, but it won't be enough to help the mods at this job. hmm

PM's are useless IMHO. They make the forums more blatant and harder to administer etc. Append your msn, icq whatever in your sig, if you want to be accessible to others.

At the moment there are no plans to include a PM function. The most direct way of communication currently used by most of the community are the Teeworlds-related IRC channels which also support private messaging. At this time of development we try to focus our resources on the game, when we have proceeded with this it would be possible to take a look at the community features of the forum.
