Here are the new entities for K.O. Race:

Please use ANY teleporter for knock-out tiles.
The RED arrows are the finish, please only create one finish.
Also please use doubled-lines.
The BLUE arrows are checkpoints. Use as many of them as you can, so the server can calculate which person is leading!

Also please use boosters to prevent people going backwards.

Dual Gun is over powered.
i would make it less good.
reasons:
+ reloads itself (endless ammo)
+ Damage is not reduced by armor (sta)
+ Veery fast shooting (dex)

but maps with only 2 weapons at least. and if then spawnkillers with the hammer and 20 damage attack lowlvls i dont think that gun is overpowered

Hammer
reasons:
+ endless ammo (doesnt use)
+ Damage kills by 1 hit
+ klick = hit = kill

You are lacking some facts about the gun and the hammer...

Gun -> If you skill in int, you nearly got way better ammor regeneration etc, but no autoshoot or double.
If you wanna have autoshoot and double in an effective way, you have too less int to shoot very much bullets.

Gun might be strong, but definitely not overpowered.

Also the whole thing with the hammer.
You need to TOUCH the enemy to kill him and if you want to get useful benefits of the hammer by specializing on it, you will lack on distance damage.

Grenade specialization can do equal dmg to the hammer in a bigger area and with range of dmg, but there you lack more ammo.

The rifle can hit multiple enemys in distance and deal good, but not perfect damage.
It also is superior to the hammer / gun, but here the ammo lacks aswell.

The last weapon is she shotgun which, when statted properly, can shoot loads of bullets which pierce through the enemys, which make it a LOT deadlier than the hammer in close AND in wide range, as INT adds range to the bullets of the shotgun.


What we see in those explainations is that the weapons which require to get picked up ALWAYS are superior to gun and hammer which you have from the beginning.
Please dont forget, that weapons you are NOT specialized on can aswell get their effects.
If you really think before statting, you can combine great powers of gun/hammer with the powers of a pick-up weapon.

The weapons definitely arent overpowered and got tested pretty often. I leveled an account for each weapon to level 50+ and tested different ways to stat, and i have to say: you ALWAYS can pwn if you alter your way to play to the weapon you use.

Hammer -> invest something in STA for not dieing so fast and be a good hooker
Gun -> aim properly and keep distance. Always stay near hideouts and move quick for not getting hit while ammo is regenerating
Shotgun -> move around the map fast and if you are close to an enemy or see much enemys near then give them a few shots
Grenade -> only use in distance as multiple explosions also higher the self damage. It has dominant fighting qualities if used right
Rifle -> ALWAYS keep your distance, andlearn how to aim good. Try to hit multiple enemys with one shot.

tom, what u say is right, but if 99% of the hammerplayer kill you when you spawn, how you should get distance to dont get touched? maybe you should programm a respawn-protection? ö.Ö

maybe i really should code a respawn protection... Anyways, i never had problems with it

Regarding the message:
No, you wont get kicked. The only thing happening is that you wont get exp anymore till you kill another player. This is to help preventing people to just level up each other.
This option is okay as the servers arent meant to be 1on1 wink

Regarding the map:
As i said ALL teleport tiles work as knock-out tiles.
I dont want any teleports to be in k.o. race maps... :S
It should all depend on agile movement. There shouldnt be knockout-tiles (teleports) everywhere. Take round_mogli as example (the current k.o. map with spikes)

Of course you dont need to have it in jungle style.. I would sppreciate it to have another style wink

Well its not me who has to use your maps...
If you want to make maps for k.o. race, then you need to stick to the entities and the conditions given.

K.O. tiles and not deathtiles (cause death tiles arent as accurate as the teleporter tiles).
and also the map not covered with them.

The intention of k.o. is not everybody dieing at once... You should set k.o. tiles very rare and design the map with nice speed corridors etc...

Anyways if you cant do that i wont be able to host the map :S

I liked the positions fo the death tiles before. Maybe use the direction-signs of the jungle doodads which look like spikes and do some k.o. tiles.

Your credits get messed up with different resultions, so id like to ask you to put it at the beginning of the map and/or atz other places, but with para 100

I suggest not to start in the air, as you just fall down directly, when the race starts ^^

All those points should be able to get done really quick (except the better design) and if you manage to improve the gameplay a little bit + improving all those points, i think i can put the map in the rotation.
It still depends if the gameplay improves and on the quality of the map.
Currently its not enough, but i am sure you can improve it, so it is. wink

I have nothing against k.o. tiles (teleporter tiles), but deathtiles are too unaccurate. ^^

With desigining i mean.. making it look more friendly... Not just background and foreground...
Use doodads, sun, earch, well you know what i mean ^^

hmm

i will maybe lower the restawn time of weapons.
But ill test this out a few more times.

In lost, i had got a 70-killstreak with a lvl 95 rifle account easyly, so imho lost isnt giving disadvantage to other weapons x.x

Anyways, as i said, ill test some more^^

Some stuff i wanted to say:
If u get extra ammo by int and try to pick up a new ammo if u still have all the normal ammo but lost some of the int ammo u cant pick the weapon up.
And its a bit confusing that lost sta hearts dont leave the "lost energy" sign...

And playing CTF maps on the dm server doesn't work xD
