Try this:
http://www.teeworlds.com/files/teeworld … x86.tar.gz

You can do it form the Terminal tif you want. Just type:
wget http://www.teeworlds.com/files/teeworld … x86.tar.gz && tar -xfv teeworlds-0.5.1-linux_x86.tar.gz

No. It's:

wget http://teeworlds.com/files/teeworlds-0.5.1-linux_x86.tar.gz && tar -xvzf teeworlds-0.5.1-linux_x86.tar.gz

for installing and then

cd teeworlds-0.5.1-linux_x86
./teeworlds

to start.

This depends on the tar version you are using. It automatically recognizes
that the tape-archive is gzipped (-z). This works with bzipped2 files, too (-j)

That's a common problem with binary packages. The teeworlds_server which is in the release-package is built against glibc version 2.4 - and your system uses an other version.

I don't know about Debian 5 etch, but you may try the binary package built against the older glibc version.

If this doesn't work, you'll need to build teeworlds from the sources or hope that someone creates a package (*.deb) for you. Isn't there already one in debian?
