Topic: [Map] Coldrun idea

Hi i think its time to make a new hotrun.
my opinion... what do u think about it?
i would like to make a map called coldrun.
its with ice and gameplay like hotrun.
ill just make it if Ubuntu is fine with it of course.
and i'd really like if he helped me smile are you?
all good mappers together for coldrun wink

Are easy, open the hot_run, and select "cold" tiles and put on the "hot" tiles.

I am totally up with that. I had some ideas and I wanted to do more maps like hotrun, but I had no real motivation.

It is funny that you mention "coldrun" because that is the famous coldrun (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BAAMNap0 … re=related) that inspired (name, speed etc.) me for hotrun.

Of course, you don't need my permission. I would be glad to do help you. But, I wonder if it is really possible to work both on the same map (especially gameplay).

I can help you by :
- criticizing your map, giving you some ideas etc. (but I am not sure if I am really good at it).
- giving you a really basic map (only the gameplay), this thread motivates me to do a new race map. So, I think I will do a sketch or beginning of map. If you want to do a map from it tell me, or I will do it myself.

If you want a list of criteria that I used for hotrun, ask smile

Edit : Oh maybe I misunderstood. Do you want to do a totally new map like hotrun or only modify it ? If you want to modify it, go ahead smile

Hi

i think it would be an good idea an new run like hotrun.
but a cold run can't have a tileset with lava.
-it have to be with ice
-and water as death tiles
(cold water can kill u to xD)

when its an good map as hotrun i will play it

and a the hook/rocket balance have to be the same as hot run ,that was perfect.

it#s just my opinion but i hope it helps to created this map

Actually I am working on a new run map which kinda looks like your description (lol).

I is like hotrun but with other obstacles of course and water death tiles.

Maybe be can come together to make a really good run.

The map isnt finished wink
I think there isnt much progress till now, as it's still not known how it will look like when its finished.

Needs some nicer tilesets, you could use pocrams water_main or whatever its called and make it look like frozen water
