1. Decide the basic design.
2. Draw all nonmoving parts.
3. Add as many layers as you want frames plus 1 (background, for your nonmoving parts).

5. Set all layers but frame 1 and the background to invisible and export (title1.png)
6. Repeat step 5 with all the other layers.
7. Open frame 1 in GIMP or photoshop.

hm i have already some gifs - ee on first page wink

but they are very big - too  big for avatars.
and i dont know how i get them smaller...

nice, have you been using inkscape to draw the big one and then scaled? since the outline is so pixelled
if so try to export to a smaller size.

the problem with gif is that it uses indexed colours (not 24 mil colours) so there are only a few "tones" to choose making small lines hard to make. may i try resizing for you?

i made them 60 x 60
and the lines are 8..
