Topic: iCTF : the new MTC tournament !

OK that's it, I have now all the time to make the tournament and I don't want to put back the date again so it will be on 7 and 8 February ! TeeTV will broadcast the tourney like for the MTC 1on1 cup.

Validation

Please confirm here if your team will be able to play or not. The deadline for the confirmation is is Tuesday (3).  A team who is not validated won't participate to the tournament so don't forget ! And you don't need to be the leader of your team to validate. Besides you must be registered on www.masterteecup.com before validate here your team ! This is the current list for the iCTF tournament : the teams who are validated are in green.

Hiryuu -- I don't think I can be available before the end of the holidays (that would be the 5th of january), and I really don't think you should make plans on the availability of 0.5.0, very much less announce a tournament to take place so few days after its release if it is indeed released for Christmas. I guess there are some bugs to be expected for any new significant release.

Also, the mod instagib will be broken when 0.5.0 is released (weee!), and you have to let teams train on ctf3 since they don't know the map yet.

I would rather have the MTC Instagib cup start one month later, that is the 30th and 31th of january. I would like to play in that cup too.

Yea i 3/4th of January is in holidays sorry for the mistake i would say the week after the holidays so after a quick verification it is 9/10th of January. In one month seems too late, not for me but for many players who ask me to do the cup earlier. And for the 0.5.x i think it will be OK but if not it will be on the 0.4.3.

It should be but I'm waiting for the 0.5 and we will test it before (I have already tested the map but I need the views of the other players). I think it's a good think to play on more than one map. And this make iCTF 4on4 different from CTF 6on6.

Okay, AFAIK, we're okay with the end of January. It's too early to organize it before the 0.5.0. Let's schedule it for the end of January and let the people organize their time to be present. And if 0.5.0 doesn't come out by then, we'll play on 0.4.3.

I think that Somerunce, as a dev, has made some work on his 0.5 instagib mod already. So we expect him to release a precompiled server quite quick after the 0.5 release smile

Yea I see, I thought that the 0.5 could be released quickly but it doesn't seem like this finally.
It's better for me to do it in the end of January but I hope it's fine for the others (especially those who're waiting for the CTF and TDM). Besides I have really important exams during January so it's the week of 9/10 or the week of 25/26 but not between.

Thanks for telling your view, I will see if I change the schedule.

Yea but it's very complicated for me hmm (more than expected)

The 9/10 was perfect but with my exams it's more and more difficult to schedule ... sorry if I often change but I didn't know when it was exactly. So finally it could be the 30/31 as Magnet proposed but I decided to not announce a precise day anymore because I can't know exactly when it will be.

So wait and see, even if you know more or less when it will be (end of January or begin of February).

Do other teams prefer Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday?

Lol just in the week of holidays, at least in Austria...
Anyway I come back on Saturday so the best solution would be Saturday and Sunday, but please not earlier.
Later would also be ok. (We need time to make sure we are available.)
