Topic: [Tileset][WiP]Rust Barge

Ok so I am somewhat new to this whole Teeworlds thing and was thinkin on making a tileset. So here is what would be the main tile. Tell me what you think, ideas, comments, please refrain from negative input.

Im gonna have it fade into black as if it was space, and Im gonna have another type of tile that is less scrap more worked.

Ok now I have a var2 of the main tile, when you use em both it looks like this...

Now I've added a third.
Its starting to look pretty good.

Ok, now I've got a border to it, I still need inverse border and different tilesets but otherwise its going good. Tell me what you think about it.

Those up there are just the demos. Im still working on the full one. And something I realized when I tried to use it, they were 65*64 >.<

So since then I have remade the tiles in the right size, and I have got them laid out in a nice display, but I still need to do the doodads again, and have different tilesets within it, and other stuff like that.

I will post up the PNG one when I finish... But does photobucket allow PNG?

Actually this is a very active forum, just need to know the right times.
anyway, This looks Interesting.
he saved them as .JPG because they majorly reduce the size of the upload.
Keep working at this one and it might work well.

Ok, Ive got allot done on it. I added allot of doodad type terrains, I'm still trying to implement another tileset into it but thats not going so great.
I guess this is it's beta, I'd really rather no one use it until I finish but if you insist on using it, please use the Tee_Shirt tile at least once in a visible spot on the terrain.

I made it in photoshop.
Ive added a few things, its more flexible now. I've added a few things, fixed a few things. You can use it for several things but only a few are shown in this demo.

Ok I went a little over board with the Tee_Shirts, you need to use at least one if you use my tileset.
Here is a PNG file. It has some transparency things and some that are just normal for easier use.

You should really try to make background and foreground differ more, it's hard to see what's solid and what's not.

Otherwise it's nice. smile

There are too many details!!!

Make it please with fewer details = Fever is more.

PS: Only this in red are good. And the blood.

"There are too many details!!!" I was worried about that... Is that screenshot 1:1 ratio? I think some of the issue is you are using the tileset wrong. I've designed it to use a very regular pattern, but I've thrown in a few different tiles to break up the patter. You have just cluttered all the tiles of the same type all together, looks horrible. But I understand how large patterns can be very disturbing to your eye. I will try to make a tile that will be a bit simpler that can cover other tiles, thus simplifying the area's you don't want to attract attention. brb gtg will post again later.

ok its rly nice now big_smile but the blood... its unteeish and i dont think blood is needed in a fungame like this wink

Its to much grafics i tryed it out it doesnt paste nice with my background off my map..

I know what you all mean. It doesn't really fit the whole theme of TeeWorlds, if you want just don't use the blood.

I made another tileset, got rid of the extra stuff and added some more things. I also made a map with it. But how do I upload a map?

See, you have all the tools here to make a full map, a spacey map, but a map none the less. SPACE, that was for forum searches big_smile
But you could make a good map with this tileset, it may not paste good with other TeeWorlds tilesets but it would go good by itself.
