Topic: How Do I make a server? (not a little kid that has no clue about PCs)
Hi,
I want to see how to make my own server, but don't know the steps to it. If someone would like to help, I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks in advance.

@catpaw
Tried that, too complicated. (for me)
@Pvede
Do you have windows live messenger or aim?
man, just run teeworlds_srv ;] there is nothing simplier ;]
The title of the thread is not in accordance with your statements.
Seriously, how could catpaw's link be too complicated? AMN is starting to be right.
@AMN: LOL! My rank: Member
Your rank: Not a mod! XDDDD
Your "d" key seems to be stuck.
I clicked on teeworlds_srv and it said...
ERROR: The master server reports that clients can not connect to this server.
ERROR: Configure your firewall/nat to let trough udp on port 8303
You need to forward port 8303 in your router to the computer running the server... As stated in every post on this subject...
Did you try searching before posting?
How would I do that?
Sorry for being so clueless. I appreciate the help.
Yes, but didn't find anything...Maybe I just didn't search long enough?
You need to forward port 8303 in your router to the computer running the server... As stated in every post on this subject...
OH! Now I understand!
How do I forward port 8303? Do I type in my IP address on my browser and do something there?
Thanks again everybody.
O_o (not a little kid that has no clue about PCs)
You are right, you are a little kid that has ABSOLUTELY no clue about PCs
Did you read the links provided above? Nah? Read them again!

GNARF .. can't you read?
Actually, you're right, I AM an 11-year old kid. (no, really)
And I do have clue about it, just not with all this server thingies..hehe... I program games with flash.
"If you try to be smarter, I might try to be nicer"
I can see that.
I'll look at the links you gave me, thanks.
EDIT:
That everybody gave me*
By the way, I am running windows vista. I did all the steps on...

...except part 2.01.
Thanks everyone.
EDIT:
Sorry for double posting.
Hmmm as you stated in your thread title you're an über PC expert.
Why do you try to set up a windows server linux-style then? (-_-')
And opening multiple topics is worse than double posting
Err....Well, I am not an "expert"...just trying to learn how to make a server.
And, umm...Can I set up a server in linux-style?
...okay...I admit, I am clueless in this part of the computer.
Thanks everyone, and sorry for multiple-topics. Hopefully won't happen again. ^^
AMN: you've to use [ironic][/ironic] tags when talking with errrhm...kids.
btw.: we don't need server, we need players...
Can't you just help me?
nope, dunno how to build/start/configure/compile a server under windows...
I wasn't just talking to you. -_-
You need to forward your ports. you need to undestand what ports are, what forwarding is, and how to configure your homerouoter you are obviosly using. If this is too complicated for you, running a server is too complicated for you. There is nothing that the teeworlds-software could do for you.
@tee you asked everyone who reads your post...if you mean a specific person, then write it...
@catpaw
I already configured the router. And as I said before, is there a substitute for Terminal? If not, is there a guide for Windows, preferably Vista.
Thanks everybody, I depreciate it, and sorry if I sound rude at times.
@Detructor2
If I have a question, you don't have to answer it if you don't know. Thanks anyways, though.
