Topic: [MOD] [N]RaceRevived

[N]Race was once big in Teeworlds like 5 years ago. [N]Race servers was everywhere.
Unfortunately, after the release of Teeworlds 0.6, [N]Race was slowly dying out.

... and now we can't even play [N]Race maps that we had fun with back then... until today! I've spent a few days to port [N]Race to Teeworlds 0.6. It's now done! big_smile

Features:
* fully compatible with [N]Race maps. Including [N]race(appears as [N]RaceRevived), [N]ctf(appears as [N]CtfRevived) and [N]tdm(appears as [N]TdmRevived)
* all the chat commands, rcon commands, sv settings behavior, etc. are identical as the original [N]Race
* fast download implemented(stolen... uh, I meant adapted form DDNet source code)
* loads .cfg file per map-based. e.g. if you open maps/foo.map, then maps/foo.cfg is automatically loaded
* wlist now has IPv6 support

Please redownload the server program because the previous version has some critical bugs.
Here are some maps I've got
Most [N]Race maps are probably available here. But it is very difficult to filter the [N]Race maps out unless you remember the name. sad Here are some technique for filtering:
* Memory of my brain(most effective! But often not working tongue)
* modification time filtering
* map name filtering
* map size filtering([N]Race maps usually use custom tile. It makes the map files 100KiB+)

I have mirrored the tileset before it disappear in the internet.
However, I have already lost the entities. I found a low resolution one here. Does anyone still have the original [N]Race entities on hand?

same thing here. if you add (at least) one config and map to your repo, I will set up a server, if you want to running as official with instant updates (usually within 1 minute after git push)

Having troubles finding servers in the serverlist? Go to Pastebin (its a referer cause there is daily a new pastebin) and add the lines to your settings.cfg (in %APPDATA%\teeworlds). Then open teeworlds and go to the favorites tab. (Note however, standard teeworlds client can only show 256 favorites, use ddnet instead)

Thanks for making a server! As you might know, our current server is in Asia. And it isn't ping-friendly for european and US players.

Unfortunately, the server seems not to be working here. Maybe it's down? sad

Thanks for your interest on setting up a server. Currently, I've no plan on pushing maps to the repo. That's mainly because the map list of the server is almost never updated. For your convenience, I've just make a map pack with server config in a zip file. Hopefully it's useful for you. smile

At the moment, there is no official server. But if you get your server running, I would be happy to put your server name in the thread. smile
