Topic: [Mod] Streak

Modinfo:

The goal of this modification is to kill a certain number of Tees in one Streak to reach the next Fight-arena. The Tee who kills enough Tees in the last arena wins the game, if nobody hit the scorelimit before. The higher your level the more scores you will earn for kills.

It is similar to zCatch: the more kills in a Streak the better.


Chatcommands:

/help - prints help
/info - prints info about the modification
/cmdlist - lists chatcommands
/gameinfo - prints maximum level of the map, current maximum level of the map, your current level and your current streak
/credits - prints credits


Settings:

sv_gametype - | Streak: all weapons | gStreak: grenade-instagib | iStreak: Laser-instagib | -  def: Streak
sv_streak_length - Length of Killstreak required for next level -  def: 3 min: 1 max: 10
sv_level_lose - How many level you lose if you die -  def: 1 min: 1 max: 5
sv_win_on_maxlevel - Wether the game ends if somebody reached the highest level -  def: 1 min: 0 max: 1
sv_colors - Colorize tees from different levels -  def: 1 min: 0 max: 1
sv_explosive_laser - Wether laser explodes in insta mode (iStreak) -  def: 0 min: 0 max: 1
sv_grenade_min_damage - Minimum damage required for a kill in grenade mode (gStreak) -  def: 4 min: 1 max: 6
sv_laser_min_damage - Minimum damage required for a kill by an exlposion in insta mode (iStreak) -  def: 4 min: 1 max: 6


Mapping:

For mapping you can use this entities:

Use standard spawn for first arena, red for second, blue for third, yellow for fourth and green for fifth.

@heinrich5991 Yes ofcourse they are but it I think I should clarify it in my topic ^^.

About the gameplay: i will probably change it a bit so if you are the only one in your arena you can wait in the first and collect kills until somebody else reaches your arena.

Do you really expect somebody to win with 16 players and 5 arenas on any official map?
I think this modification needs a special map with separated arenas, or prob a rebalance of levels (i.e 5 kills to get 2nd level, 4 kills to get 3rd and so on..)
Forgot to add, this mod is a really nice thingy smile

Actually, on my server I won with 10 players in iStreak mode, streak length 7. Took about 30 minutes and someone else almost won. Very fun match, and a great mod. This was on either dm2 or dm7, whichever is larger, I confuse those two.

I noticed sometimes that you win.. and turn green, and the match continues. If someone else wins after that, you just get two green tees.
the bug only seemed to happen on iStreak mode, but I am not sure. Might've switched the gamemode without reloading the map and that might cause it due to your magic gamemode switching.

Ehm, when you "turn green" you got to go for another 7 kills streak, but now you have to be killing green tees. So, to win you have to go thru all stages:
Ctf5 has 2 arenas: to join 2nd arena you have to kill 7 tees in the row, when you turn green it means tht you achieved 2nd lvl (2nd arena) and now you have to kill 7 green tees to win round. Just like that. Ah, also, if you will be killed by green tee while you're green too...you will become blue once again and you will have to score loads of kills in row again :о

And yah, EU players have 150+ ping on your servers tongue
