Topic: Lagg Problems

Hello all!

I am an old player, and i fixed laggs for myself all time, but i can't fix that now, so i ask you to help !

I bought a new computer 2weeks ago, and after I reinstalled windows7, and updated drivers, i downloaded teeworlds, but it lagged hard(good ping,big fps[200-300;with v-snyc its 60-70], so it's unplayable for me).My old computer is more worse than new. I've tried everything, which can be problematic(i fixed with these settings on my old computer)

cl_cpu_throttle
gfx_fullscreen
gfx_vsync
gfx_finish

And I changed the screen size lower, and higher, and I combined with these commands, so i tried everything.
There is no program which can "eat" my cpu, cause there is only some programs on my computer(antivirus,teeworlds,google chrome, and Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.1,Microsoft Visual C++).

My computer:
AMD Athlon 60 X2 Dual Core 4200+ 2,2Ghz
2GB RAM(2x800mhz)
Nvidia Geforce 6600GT 256mb

I played without laggs on my old computer-> It has one core 1,8 Ghz CPU, 1GB RAM,and an old noname integrated video card.So i have my old internet on the new computer(i dont have internet problems).

I think it's good one in my country.

I have the newest drivers on my computer, so even it can't be the problem(got the drivers from win7updater, and i checked my video card driver, and it's have the newst drivers)

Hello,

In the server list, sort the servers by ping. What's the minimum?

I am not at home now, but i am plays on ddnet servers, and it's says the ping is 33.That's the minimum from all server(if the server hosted in my country it's 15-20..).

and you didn't switch to WLAN/WiFi, do you?

I didn't ! No internet problems for me. The normal ping for me is 40,and i have it. It's not jumping, only from 39 to 41, but this is normally. I think this lagg is come from some hardware problem.

But so funny cause Battlefield, and other 3D games running better than teeworlds. big_smile

Some of these require a reboot to take effect, did you correctly test them?

I had the same problem once on win7. When I was on Windows 7, I had 2 video cards: Nvidia and Intel integrated.
Teeworlds is not optimized for GeForce, so you should force it to run without it. In my situation I opened NVIDIA contror panel, switched to Controlling 3D parameters, added program to configure: teeworlds.exe, and chosen integrated graphics hardware instead NVIDIA processor.

Who would choose an IGP over an dedicated graphic card?!
On my laptop I had to configure NVIDIA control panel to use the NVIDIA card instead of my IGP, so the game will run smooth.

it's me! Because 'click' signal from my mouse to the game goes through dedicated graphic card at least 1 second :C

I didn't found the setting,which is switch to integrated video card.:/
I've set something in consol panel, but i have same lagg.

Anyone have any idea? :S

I recorded it on my old computer, but now i get this lagg again(it's stops and stops on every 3-4sec), but it's stops for a longer time than in video.

I've checked in manager, and the dwm.exe eats 15-20CPU all time, i turned off this, but the lagg remaining in game. sad

Really, nobody could help?:/
