Try enabling/disabling fullscreen (command is gfx_fullscreen 0/1).
Also, what do you mean with "changing resolution doesn't work"? Does it not change anything to what you see on the screen?

I already tried to use that command, but nothing happened.

Well it only added black borders, but the part of the game I could see stayed the same.
You have to restart the game after every change (and properly quit the game, not Alt+F4 the window). If you cannot access the quit button, type quit or exit in f1.

Tried it out but doesn't help aswell
Try change setting.cfg file directly with the game closed.
in Windows: %appdata%/teeworlds
in Linux: ~/.teeworlds
Lines that can help:
gfx_screen_width 800
gfx_screen_height 600
gfx_fullscreen 0
If not.. try removing setting.cfg :\
Already tried out all these things
have you closed the game by pressing on quit and then on yes and NOT by closing the consolewindow?
As seen in the Screenshot the quit button is not visible to me, so I did it with quit/exit command as Dune said
hm, you're right, sry, haven't seen that...
have you already tried to change the resolution of windows or e.g. directly on your monitor if it's possible?
what about other games, do they have the same problem?

Good idea.
Minimize the window (f1 -> minimize if you can't alt+tab)
If you're on Windows, right click on desktop and check/change the resolution there.
Changing resolution doesn't work
That implied the resolution of the pc (Laptop to be specific)
Other games usually work, there is only one game I remember having the same problem with once, it was http://world-riddles-seven-wonders.softonic.de/
Also if I minimize the game and then maximize it again, let's say from the desktop, then it shows what I've been on before, in this case it shows the desktop instead of the game, hard to describe, anyways it doesn't load the games interface if I try to maximize it again
I had the same problems on my new notebook (Acer V5-573G). My solution was changing the resolution to 1600x900 in settings.cfg. I still have problems with minimizing.
EDIT: With borderless window I figured out that teeworlds tries to display a higher resolution than I want him to. With 1540x865 on borderless window it shows a resolution close to my native resolution (1920x1080). It fixed minimizing as well.
gfx_screen_width 1540
gfx_screen_height 865
gfx_borderless 1
gfx_fullscreen 0
EDIT2: Okay it is not a good solution. I am getting weird mouse problems. It is moving without me doing anything.
EDIT3: I feel like writing a diary o.o. If you have 2 graphic cards like me, and I think you have 2 as we have the same problems, then you have to run teeworlds on your dedicated graphic card. For me it is a GT 750M. For some reason it does not support 1920x1080. My highest resolution is 1600x900 and it works on fullscreen mode.
Okay thanks I tried your mods out, but it stayed the same with your resolution, I experimented a bit and came with gfx_screen_width 1300
gfx_screen_height 700
gfx_borderless 1
gfx_fullscreen 0

The next problem is that I still can't move the cursor, he is stuck in the top left corner, which I didn't see with the former resolution
minimize and restore the client again or try to switch with winkey+tab or alt+tab
Minimizing is not possible because I can't move the cursor (even if fullscreen is disabled it doesn't move out of the game) and switching with alt+tab doesn't help, I don't think winkey+tab is an actual shortkey on win8, there doesn't happen anything
Do you have Windows 8.1 and/or 2 graphic cards? Windows 8.1 scales resolution automatically for "better" reading. It is called "Desktop Display Scaling". To disable go to "Control Panel -> Display" and tick "Let me choose one scaling level for all my displays". Finally it fixed all of my problems with teeworlds on my notebook.
It's windows 8.1 and I'm pretty sure it's a single graphic card. Sorry but I have the german version, so that I couldn't find the settings that way I googled the tick button name and found this http://cdn.arstechnica.net/wp-content/u … 40x490.png
I found a similar page on my settings, but the only thing missing there is this tickbox..
But I reduced the size to 125% now and it finally works
Maybe you have Windows 8 and not 8.1. Here is a picture where it should have been. Here it is
so the problem is solved i guess^^
by the way, you can minimize by using "minimize" in Local Console(F1)
