Topic: teeworlds crashes

Hi

I have been playing teeworlds for 3 years. I started with version 0.5.2 and nowadays i play the game sometimes.
I had no problems with teeworlds 0.6.0. , but 0.6.1 crashes immediately when i start the game.
My screen goes black and that's it. I have to restart my pc. sad
the client pack crashes too.

But i can play BF3, CoDs,... and everything without laggs and problems
But tw 0.6.1 fucks up.
It's annoying, because i want to use the advantages of the lastest tw and all mods.

I use a Toshiba Satellite L750/L755:

furthermore you might give more informations...
when does it crash and how? (does the console pop up?)

oh god i hate english


ok.

i can play tw 0.5.2 and 0.6.0 without any problems.
but 0.6.1 crashs... i run it and my screen goes black -.-

CoD, BF3, no problems but tw 0.6.1.
mods for example: client mod crashs too and i need them.

ha that was short

can you change to your windows-desktop after teeworlds has crashed (but still running)?
you should see the teeworlds-console, pls upload a screenshot of it.

maybe there are some files missing in your teeworlds directory,

or your settings arent compatible with 0.6.1 (shouldn't happen).
to check this, move your %appdata%-folder to any other destination. new files should be generated.
if it's still not working, feel free to move your files back again wink


oh, and you should replace your first post with an english one,
or a mod "will do it" (=close)

no. i cannot take a screenshot. my pc crashes. blackscreen. i have to restart my pc.

ok.

i moved my Teeworlds files from appdata away and it crashed again.
after i restarted my pc i saw that there were new files but i still have the same prob.
i put them back and still...

some more things you could try:

1. I can't really believe that your OS is crashing.
Pls try CTRL+ALT+DEL after teeworlds has crashed.
Can you get back to windows?

2. Start teeworlds with another resolution (< your desktop resolution) and in windowed mode.
Maybe you can get some additional informations this way.

3. You are using a laptop with nividia optimus technology?
Check, if your nvidia graphics card is used for the new teeworlds-application (not just the old one!).

4. You said that teeworlds crashed "immediately".
Does the console still pop up, or is your system freezing right in the moment you run the app?

1. I tried eveything out.
i cannot use the task manager.
And if i close my lp he just keeps running hmm
there's really no way. My OS crashes all the time.
The num lock button. ... this light. it stucks too...

4. i can see the cmd, how everything starts and then my awesome blackscreen.
I cannot see the loading bar.


2 & 3 gim me some hours.

2: look in your settings for the following lines and change

gfx_screen_width 1920
gfx_screen_height 1080
gfx_fullscreen 1

to something similiary to this:

gfx_screen_width 1600
gfx_screen_height 1400
gfx_fullscreen 0

(ofc your laptop should support the new resoultion values!)


3: Open NVIDIA Control Center (or how it is named).
Look for your 3D-Settings > Programm settings.
Create a new setting for the new path of teeworlds 0.6.1 and choose your NVIDIA graphics card.

right now i'm updating my nvidia driver

I'm using a laptop which has no nividia optimus technology hmm

I tried number 3 out. still a blackscreen and my pc fucks up

I'm going to try number 4 out.
Change my teeworlds settings in 0.6.0.
just no fullscreen and low graphics and hope i can do sth.

Do you know the prog "COMODO Firewall"? big_smile I use it for CoD 1 and as my firewall.
However this shitty prog blocked it big_smile
