I really like the idea of having a main menu. I think in general the menu system should be reworked completely, also the ingame menus. I quite like the ideas shown here, especially the drafts by Zatline.

are you sure the outgoing traffic is allowed? It does not say people can not connect to you, but that you can not connect to the master servers. Master servers are running on port 8300.

Broken: you can diesable that by setting the variable cl_prediction to 0. However, your game will probably feel laggy then. The reason for prediction is that the client can make the moves without any lag.

Thx for that info, is there an appointed day for the new version?

No, there is no due date. However, this is the last issue for that release, so if no new things are added, 0.6.1 might be released just as soon as that bug is fixed.

Moby Dog: Did you not read what I wrote? I said there is an issue on github about player colission prolbems and it is marked for 0.6.1. That means the bug will be fixed in 0.6.1. Don't be so ignorant please.

It seems to be that the 'default.bam' an all other *.bam files are not includet into the 0.6 Src-Download.

Because of this I can not Build my Server-Mod.
It says:

bam: no project named 'default.bam'

Pleace fix this Problem!

Bye Teekeks (and sorry for my bad english sad )

You are using a wrong (old) version of bam, probably 0.2. You should use bam 0.4, this will do the trick.

Yes, it's definitely very nicely done. My respect to you! I will look in my demos and try finding some stuff for you, but I doubt I will find much...

To clarify things a bit: There is an issue on github about this bug. It is set to be done for 0.6.1. Here is the link: https://github.com/teeworlds/teeworlds/issues/722

About all that DDRace, vanilla, noob stuff...: I personally think that vanilla is more challenging than DDRace, and I also dislike DDRace. Nut that is only a personal opinion. Those who like DDRace better, just play DDRace, but at least give vanilla a try and don't be narrow-minded. I also tried DDRace several times and only after that I realized that I don't like it.

I also think that tee worlds it self might be in a better shape without DDRace, but this is a free game and people can do whatever they like and this is good so.

However, we will never explicitly support mods, or fix bugs/physics for a certain mod. The reason this bug will be fixed in general is the fact that the behavior is not correct in vanilla either, so it's a vanilla bug and not only a DDRace bug.

On the other hand, popular and successful mods, that fit the tee worlds spirit, mitt be included into the main game some day. There are plans to do so for 0.7 as Oy said to me on IRC. You can be assured that DDRace won't be included in the near future though. Gametypes to be included are rather race, survival or domination, but there has been no statement from Oy what will really get included.

And one last thing: Since it is a server sided bug, the developer of DDRace should be able to fix it himself (I don't know if it would break net version, but I guess not, since the bug is set for 0.6.1 so the net version has to be compatible...)

I'm not sure if I just can't find it... but what about a "Join Game" option on the friend list? This way, if you click Join Game, it would automatically connect to the server he/she is in.

Look through the last version. There is actually a number next to each friend indicating how much players online fit to the filter.
To each friend isn't associated an unique player - not like it would be an IP - so you can't do something like that.

Exactly, especially as it is possible to add a whole clan as a friend by only writing the clan tag.

I think for a start, it's quite nice.
However, there are some things I don't like: There are many very narrow spots, and in many of them are pickups. This might be nice in some cases, but it should not be a general rule, and it will make movement harder and slow down everything.
Also try not to place pickups at the ceiling, those are very hard (slow) to get. For the looks, a bit more creativity for the doodads would also be nice, currently the map looks kind of empty.

dbg_stress will simulate all sorts of input, also connecting a server and disconnecting. It is used to do stress tests for the server. You start 16 clients on your local machine with dbg_stress and let them stress your local server.

This command and also the "remove_vote" command are listed in the documentation. Have a look for yourself: http://www.teeworlds.com/?page=docs& … erCommands
There are some minor mistakes though, e.g. the description is NOT optional.

These are teeworlds demos. You need to open them from within teeworlds. To be able to see them in the demo browser in teeworlds, put them in the folder .teeworlds/demos in your home folder.

You could also try disabling texture compression. I am not sure if it has something to do with it, but I am getting graphic errors on my mac, too, with it enabled.

You could also post the error log so we can actually know what is going wrong.

The compiler misses a lot of default header files (like stdio.h). Are you sure you have all the necessary path variables?

do you know which compiler bam uses to compile? It seems you have both visual c++ and g++, so it would be interesting to know which compiler is actually used. you can look in config.lua for the compiler. The first line should be

compiler.driver = <compiler>

where <compiler> is the compiler that is used.

could you please copy the complete log? maybe post it on pastebin or something.

you need to start bam from your teeworlds directory. Are you doing so? Why are you using a batch script?

Again, please give us your console output. We can't help you in any way without knowing exactly what is going on.

I am running version 0.6.0 of Teeworlds on Windows 7 x64 and I have disabled the Windows Firewall, I have allowed teeworlds_srv.exe for all connections and ports

you could try using a different port than 8303 for teeworlds. To do that place

sv_port 830x

in your config file, where "x" is any number. Also did you actually try to connect to the server? If not, do so.

first of all you should remove that sv_bindaddr entry, it is not necessary, secondly teeworlds usually uses ports >= 8303. The port 8300 is only used by the master servers. Also does it work with other games? e.g. warcraft, as you have an entry for that in your router?

It is actually a bad idea in my eyes. Why do something like that if it is not really necessary and other tools do an excelent job in this task (like mumble e.g.)?
