restart the server. there is no cammand to do that right now.

(and btw. : one quick look in the docs would have given you your answer. do so next time you have a quite common question.)
As far as I know, not all online games need port forwarding, but teeworlds does. Maybe you did not forward the port from your router to your pc?
and the liga system i doesnt need it teeleague.de havent too a league system
Only because another webpage does something in a bad way, it does not mean you have to do it the same way. A league system is defenitly needed, if you are advertising your webpage as a league. And it's not that you do everything wrong, and of course, everybody makes mistakes, but your page just does not look technically mature yet.
Hello again,
You really seem to put some effort in your projects, But again i advise you not to release unfinished projects, and your project is defenitly unfinished. You say it is a league, but there is no league system or similar on your site. The only things your are able to provide right now are a design, which is quite ok in my eyes(others migh think different), a support section which does not help you in any way, a download section that provides just the same files as teeworlds.com, and a froum that (like in your previous project teewelt.tk) is not adjusted to the style of your website. In fact it is even quite hard to find a link which leads back to the main page. Maybe something like PunBB what fit much better, as it better adjustable to your Design. Also I feel I should point out again that a bad language style will always make the page look unprofessional. Having links like "soon to come" on your page will even make this impression worse. I hope you really reconsider releasing you site yet, as it's obviously not ready for public yet. I have no idea how many persons you have in your team, but to me it seems that there might be missing some to help you out with stuf you are just not capable of. There is another thing I strongly reccomend you to add: An impressum. People need a way to know who is in charge of the website, and how they can contact him. Also you should give an overview on who is on your team (i.e. whom people can contact when facing problems). On last thing: In my opinion it is kind of bold to "steal" this random tee idea from http://www.teedb.info/ . However the way you did it, it looks just ugly: the tees are pixled, and let them chang all the time is a bad idea, too, in my opinion.
I hope this migh help you a bit,
kind regards,
ghost
buffer[] is right. If it does not work on Mac, it is a problem if the sdl implementation in mac.
This seems sort of ridiculous... How do you think we are able to help you in this matter? Also i believe there might have been other reasons for you having been kicked. Anyway, just play on an other server, there are like about 1000.... so what if you have been kicked from one? Of course, it is not nice, to kick people because of their nationality, but what do you want to do about it? Anyway, I think this topic is kind of senseless....
About those patch errors: it might be those accur, because I was using svn version of teeworlds-0.5.2 (/tags/teeworlds-0.5.2rc1)
I edited my first post, so it contains a patch that has been created with the sourcecode of teeworlds that you can get from the download section here.
Also now there is an explanation about how to apply the patch.
@ MertenNor: If you have applied the patch correctly and it still does not work, I have no idea what the problem might be as the code is actually the same as in the refactor branch, only it is written in the old style. Maybe you try it again with the updated patch. You should now be able to patch automatically without any errors. Pls tell me, whether it works correctly then, or not.
***-***-MacBook-Pro:tw ***$ patch -p0 < /Users/***/***/TW/Compile/tw mini.patch
patch: **** read error : Is a directory
Why are u using a whitespace here? Maybe that's the problem: patch thinks you want to use the directory
/Users/***/***/TW/Compile/tw as patch. And be sure to write p1 and not p0, otherwise it won't work.
You should type that:
patch -p1 < /Users/***/***/TW/Compile/tw/mini.patch
@ELO~281:
http://www.cplusplus.com/doc/tutorial/
You can get the basics there, if you want to learn coding tw, take some time looking to the sourcecode
(btw. this might not be the correct topic for your question)
Yes, put the patch in a file named minimize.patch or similar. Then cd to teeworlds-0.0.5-src. Then use:
patch -p1 < /path/to/the/patchfile/minimize.patch
This should do it, at least it does on my pc.
Actually there was a function like this some time ago and it is reimplemented in the refactor branch, but in teeworlds-0.5.2 it is not available. If you are able to compile teeworlds yourself, here is a patch that adds this command to teeworlds-0.5.2.
Syntax of the command in f1 console:
minimize
You might want to bind it to some key:
bind f11 minimize
Patch:

How to apply the patch:
1. Copy the patch into a file named minimize.patch somewhere on your computer.
2. Enter the following in a console:
cd /path/to/teeworlds-0.5.2-src/
patch -p1 < /path/to/minimize.patch
This function will work on any OS(including mac), as it is using the minimize feature of the SDL library.
However, if you are not able to compile, the refactoring of teeworlds will probably be done quite soon, thus the problem of the missing minimize command will be solved.
In the future pls use the search function.
What about 3 or 4 Teams for ctf or tdm (sry if the idea is already brought)...for example a green and a yellow team or a balck an white or something else...it could be nice...for ctf its difficult because of capping i know xD...but i think it gives a solution...for tdm its no big problem i think.
Tell me your opinion plsELO~281
This idea has been brought up so many times, and at the moment, i think it's not something the devs really consider.
Another reason why your system won't stop botting is that some (aim)bots are not compiled directly into the client but .dll or similar files, that are included in the client while it is running, you only need the client binary. It is not that hard to code something like that if you have the sources of the client(even if encryption function is missing, it does not change anything for that) so you can just download the "pure" client and then still use the aimbot/whatever dll, and your client will be marked as pure, as it includes the encryption function.
I agree to the persons who have posted here before, that it is simply a huge effort for minor or none effectivity at all.
And maybe we should think about people who are using operating systems, for which the devs don't provide biniaries, but are able to compile tw for them selves. They would never be able to get a pure client and thus often be accused of cheating and so on.
I see you have put a lot oft thought into that system, but it just won't work for teeworlds while keeping the open source spirit, and this is something we should not give up!

They are planning to host exactly 1 server, but never release it to the public to the public, so that there will be only one server to play on.
@ FireDrift: This is allready possible, gametype can be filtered in the filter tab, and if you want to search for a map, just type the map name into quicksearch.
@Marik16: I don't think vector based graphics are used here, they are only used for creating skins, but the game uses normal png files, with pixels.
@zizou: zooming out will create the problem, that many backgorunds are not big enough anymore, and you will see, what is around them, so either strage graphic bug, or if gfx_clear is enabled, yellow color.
The current version of teeworlds (0.5.2) does not support showing motd when joining a server for some reason. As the client setting cl_motd_time still exists in the documentation, i doubt this is the wanted behaviour, but I don't know if it is allready reported as a bug.
I don't think it is possible to do that in fullscreen moder, but i suggest you to play in a window then, if it's that important to you.
Well, but for others sound is very essential, for example in highlevel games, a lot of people use the sound to predict, where players out of their range of vision might be. But of course you don't have to use it, if having no sound is fine for you, that's ok, too, but maby others are interested in how to solve this problem
After doing some research i found out that quite a lot of games using sdl have this problem with sound (on several ubuntu versions and on other linux distributions as well). It seems to be a problem with sdl itself or sdl-mixer, I'm not sure about that. For some reason it only seems to appear if you are using alsa as sound mixer. I was able to get sound on Ubuntu 9.10 64 bit by switching to pulseaudio completely, and using libsdl1.2-pulseaudio instead of libsdl1.2-alsa. After doing this I also had no more problems with quitting teeworlds, everything works fine now. Here is a guide on how to get pulseaudio going for ubuntu, it helped me a lot . I hope this helps you guys, that are also having problems with tw sound on ubuntu, too.
Why do you ask us if you HAVE TO finish your mod? It's your decision, isn't it? If you want to take the time to finish it, and present it to the community, just do so, if it is not so important to you, or you want to leave the tw community, just stop with the mod, it's up to you. (I hope) We all live in free countries
Yes, the ping is probably so high, because your up and download are not fast enough.
